Chic Retreats: Boutique Hotels and Luxury Villas

Who are we and what are we all about?

Lulu Townsend, founder and Managing Director of Chic Retreats, developed a passion for small boutique hotels long before doing the PR and Marketing at her parent’s beautiful small luxury hotel in Italy more than 10 years ago. Starting with some of her favourite small chic hotels, she launched the Chic Retreats website at the end of 2002 with just 17 properties. Chic Retreats is the definitive collection of privately owned genuinely small boutique hotels, including Lulu's favourite boutique hotels in England, chic hotels in Bali and her pick of hidden little gems in France. Personally selected for their style, charm and personal service (Lulu isn't interested in star ratings), you are guaranteed to be treated as an individual and not just a room number.  If you are a small boutique hotel, B&B or luxury villa and would like to be part of Chic Retreats please email Lulu on lulu@chicretreats.com.

If you buy anything this winter make it a cashmere/silk shrug from Bird of Paradise. In an array of colours from hot pink to gentle orange they transfrom from a shrug to a poncho, to a scarf to a wrap and at just £65 they are real value for money.
