Casa Angelina is a chic contemporary boutique hotel with a cool, minimalist décor, perched high above the sparkling blue seas off Praiano, between Positano and Amalfi. Casa Angelina is a rich visual feast. Wide windows and sun-kissed terraces give stunning views of the gorgeous sea and clear blue sky. The whitewashed interior provides the perfect space for the hotel’s vibrant collection of modern artwork from around the globe, including creations by Mexican sculptor Sergio Bustamante, and original pieces by Lebanese artist Gina Nahle.
Whether lounging beside one of the hotel pools, splashing into the warm Mediterranean waters, or pampering yourself in the hotel’s wellness centre, your stay at Casa Angelina will be one of peace and relaxation amidst the sun-drenched beauty of the Amalfi Coast.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast buffet of homemade breads and cakes; ripe fruits and fragrant honeys from the Amalfi Coast, and sweet preserves. If you haven’t got a sweet tooth, there are savoury options as well including Italian cheeses, cured meats, salmon and salad. Wash it down with freshly-squeezed fruit juice or, for a particularly indulgent treat, Champagne. Throughout the day, the hotel’s poolside restaurant serves light, refreshing meals such as Caprese salad and vermicelli with freshly-caught clams. Enjoy a refreshing bespoke cocktail at Casa Angelina’s Marrakech Bar, with wide windows and an enchanting terrace perfect for watching the sunset.
The hotel’s restaurant, Un Piano nel Cielo, translates as ‘The Floor in the Sky’ and it’s an apt description, as the expansive windows will make you feel as though you are suspended above the Mediterranean. The menu champions the ingredients and flavours of Amalfi, with a particular emphasis on the freshly-caught seafood from the surrounding waters. Whether you’re a passionate foodie, or simply want an unforgettable dining experience, Casa Angelina offers a unique ‘Our Chef for You’ experience. The Chef will prepare regional specialties, many of which are becoming harder to find elsewhere, such as zuppa di pesce, an authentic fish soup popular with Amalfi fishermen. Afterwards, the Chef will talk through his culinary creations with you personally, from the ingredients used to his personal connection with them.
Casa Angelina’s stark white interiors contrast sublimely with the sparkling blue sea, and the chic, minimalist décor is complemented by designer furnishings that add a touch of sophisticated elegance. All of the rooms at Casa Angelina have wonderful views of the Mediterranean, while many have private balconies.
Lounge in the sunshine on the poolside terrace, enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding coast from the hotel’s privileged position. If you want to get even closer to the inviting waters, take Casa Angelina’s private glass lift to La Gavitella Beach. Guests of the hotel have an exclusive area on this stunning beach, where you’ll be ensured bright sunshine throughout the day thanks to its westward-facing position.
If you feel like a spot of pampering, head to Casa Angelina’s spa, which offers a range of massages and treatments making use of organic Nectarome products, sourced from a medicinal garden in the foothills of the Moroccan Atlas Mountains. The wellness centre also features a fully-equipped gym and an indoor pool.
If you’re of an adventurous disposition, charter the hotel’s private boat for charming excursions along the coast and even to the nearby island of Capri. For a particularly romantic treat, moonlight voyages can be arranged.
