It offers most of the Resort's facilities, such as Galo Active Sport & Fitness Club, Ashoka SPA as well as a outdoor pool and an indoor pool. The Resort´s private ocean beach, Lido Galomar Diving School Manta Diving , is only a few steps away. Location The hotel is situated in a very quiet area on the east side of the island, directly on the seafront and only 12 min drive from Funchal airport. The town centre of Caniço with its shops, restaurants and bars is a 5-min drive from the hotel. Funchal is also close by (8 km). Rooms The rooms have garden, side and sea views, are fully furnished and come with an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer as well as a telephone, TV, safe, minibar and balcony, also equipped with air conditioning, free wi-fi and interactive TV. Is possible to have connecting rooms with doors and there is 1 disability friendly room. Furthermore, tea and coffee making facilities and a double bed are provided in all accommodation as standard. In these Covid times, all hotels that open are should be complimented. The Galosol however, went way above what you'd expect. Friendly and helpful staff, good cleaning procedures in place and quality food. The one area is suggest for improvement, the pool bar, the service was very slow a d inconsistent. I had a great stay, will be back.

Stayed at the end of August. The hotel offers stunning views overlooking the sea. The pool at the Galosol was peaceful and quiet during our stay and ideal for relaxing. Theres also plenty of activities to choose from and you can catch a bus right outside that takes you into Funchal for 2.20.It was our first time visiting but we will return as we loved our stay so much.

Really nice hotel. Very clean and excellent sustainability features. Food was good, especially the lunch option at the Pool Bar, which was also very reasonably priced, (4.00 for a ham sandwich with chips and slaw was great!).It's very easy to get the bus into Funchal, the bus stop is literally right opposite the hotel and only takes around 20 minutes. It can be quite hard to know where to get the bus from when you head back to the hotel. The bus doesn't pick you up from where it drops you off, so you'll need to do some google mapping to figure out where the bus stop is in Funchal.The activities are good, the mountain biking in particular was excellent! The staff are also all very friendly!

Amazing hotel with a private beach. Staff are friendly, rooms are modern and confortable. And the food is fresh and very good!They also have yoga classes!Highly recommended!
