Nestled in a gorgeous valley filled with pines and liquid amber trees, Dalya Life is a tranquil hideaway near Göcek, on Turkey’s Turquoise Coast. This collection of bijoux villas is perfect for those looking for serenity and relaxation; despite only being a short drive from Dalaman International Airport, the only sounds you’ll hear will be the soft gurgling of the stream that flows beside the property. This family-run getaway has a warm and friendly atmosphere, and lovers of simple but delicious food will enjoy the meals served in the restaurant, using ingredients grown on the hotel’s estate. Whether relaxing beside the freshwater swimming pool, or venturing out to one of the several beautiful beaches close by, your stay at Dalya Life will be idyllic and restful in equal measure.
Begin your day with an expansive breakfast buffet, enjoyed in the beautiful garden or in the privacy of your personal veranda. The spread includes local cheeses and honey, organic olives, homemade jams and pastries, and eggs from the hotel’s chickens.
The restaurant serves traditional Anatolian dishes, all made with fresh, locally-farmed produce and vegetables from Dalya Life’s gardens. The dinner menu changes daily, but be assured that whatever is on the menu will be a mouth-watering delight.
Rooms and suites are spread between the main villa, and several smaller bijoux villas. The style in each is simple and traditional, with works by famous Turkish artists such as Devrim Erbil and Sabri Berkel adding a touch of colour and sophistication. Most villas have a small garden, and many of the rooms have private verandas.
The freshwater swimming pool, fed by the streams that filter through the surrounding valley, is particularly inviting on hot summer days. Relax in the hotel’s gardens, fringed with rose bushes and heady with the scent of pine resin, or enjoy a spot of boating on the calm waters of the adjacent stream.
The hotel is just a short drive from Göcek, home to a world-class yachting bay. Watch the sleek vessels on the Marina, or charter your own for an adventure to the nearby Twelve Islands. Dalyan, a picturesque riverside town, has stunning views of Lycian tombs that have been carved into the rock-face, and the nearby ancient ruins of Kaunos are well-worth a visit for history buffs. Nature lovers won’t want to miss Iztuzu Beach, a breeding ground for the endangered Loggerhead turtles.
