One of The Telegraph's favourite pubs with rooms, this welcoming spot delivers on its promise of stylish rooms and tasty food. Situated on the banks of the Avon Water, the inn is just minutes from the south coast and the New Forest. Located in the charming hamlet of Gordleton just 10 minutes from Lymington, the property is home to well-tended grounds and a secret garden with sculptures, exhibits and hidden places to sit.
Eat, drink and be merry during your stay at The Mill where ingredients are sourced from nearby producers where possible, from free range eggs, organic vegetables, local cheeses, and pork and venison from the New Forest are used
To recognise their commitment to local produce and the environment, the pub has been awarded the New Forest Marque.
Dine overlooking the river in the restaurant, or choose something from the snack menu and enjoy with a pint in the bar area.
The 8 individually decorated rooms are contemporary in style, and spread across the main building and the Mill House.
Sitting on the edge of the New Forest, The Mill is in the ideal spot for day trips into the Hampshire countryside or for exploring the south coast. Beaulieu Abbey and the maritime village of Buckler's Hard are less than 30 minutes drive away and a little further afield are Salisbury and Winchester. The quaint villages of Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst are nearby, or you might fancy a bit of yacht-spotting at Hamble Point. And Bournemouth has a fantastic stretch of sandy beach and is just half an hour away.
Free parking is available.
