Dating back to 1652, this property is as beautiful as it is charming. Situated in the village of Santa Agnès de Corona on the northeast of the island, the intimate retreat has the perfect ingredients for a relaxing rural getaway: location, service, and style. Family-run by sisters Maria and Barbara Rodrigues, they bought the Ibizan finca in 1997 and transformed it into a farmhouse escape. The reception area in itself is a wonderful sitting room, with high ceilings and lovely pictures on the wall – often you can buy them to take home with you. In fact, all of the communal areas are filled with Balearic-inspired art.
The small but perfectly formed restaurant serves inventive Mediterranean fare, prepared using locally sourced, seasonal, and organic ingredients. Expect sharing plates, bbq and tapas evenings, and nightly specials. Dine by candle light in the evening – alfresco or in the atmospheric dining room – and by day, grab a table in the garden. Be sure to order a pre- or post-drink at the well-stocked bar too.
Spanish, Nordic and Mediterranean influences can be seen and felt throughout the hotel's 7 double rooms and 8 suites. Each is totally different both in size and character – some with freestanding baths or canopied beds, others with separate living areas. All have either a terrace, garden or balcony with views to the valley or well-kept grounds. Choose room 12 and enjoy an outdoor shower.
Your wellbeing is taken seriously here, with an on-site massage therapist and yoga instructor, plus a peaceful spa area featuring a sauna and an outdoor plunge pool.
The garden pool and daybeds are the perfect spot to catch some rays and relax. But if you want discover the area, head out on foot into the almond tree-filled valley, or borrow a bike. Ask the friendly team and they'll guide you to some special areas including the cliffs of Ses Baladres and Las Puertas del Cielo viewpoint. Cala Salada beach is 15 minutes away by car; its sibling Saladeta is slightly further and more secluded.
Free parking is available.
