If you fancy feeling like royalty for your stay in Lecce, then Torre del Parco is a great choice for you. Housed in a converted monastery and set alongside a 30-metre tall tower on a 15th-century site built by the Prince of Taranto, Giovanni Antonio Orsini del Balzo – the historic setting certainly offers something rather special.
The building has been sensitively renovated, preserving it’s dramatic stone, vaulted ceilings and heavy wooden doors whilst added softer features and warm lighting to keep things cosy.
Torre del Parco is available to hire for weddings and events.
A great breakfast is served (out in the lovely garden in fair weather), and is included in most room rates (see detail below).
There is no restaurant on site but the terrace is a great spot for a pre-dinner drink. There are plenty of great restaurants in the nearby historic centre and the staff are happy to help with recommendations.
The nine rooms are all beautifully designed with antique furniture, luxe fabrics and big, comfy beds though in line with age of the building not all have windows. We’d recommend upgrading to the Superior for more space or even the Deluxe option that comes with it's very own hot tub.
There is a wellness area with a choice of massages available – perfect to retreat to after a hard day's exploring.
The historic centre of Lecce is a 10/15-minute walk away with its wonderful Baroque architecture, fantastic restaurants and endless churches.
San Cataldo is the nearest beach, around 13km away but there are plenty of wonderful swimming spots along the Adriatic coastline.
