Berber Lodge is a charming getaway hidden amid ancient olive trees on the outskirts of the village of Oumnass, 40 minutes south of Marrakech. Owned by acclaimed interior designer Romain Michel Meniere, the property was inspired by Berber architecture; the walls of each of the 9 dwellings were built using the garden's earth. The central house has a large sitting room with a roaring log fire, a dining room, library and bar. Serene and spacious, this rural hideaway is a place to de-stress.
Note: WiFi is only available in the reception area.

Dining
A daily-changing set menu of fresh and seasonal produce (from the on-site vegetable garden where possible) is served, with a focus on Middle-Eastern and Moroccan flavours. Eat the tasty home-cooked meals in the dining room or alfresco.

Activities
This secluded hideaway is home to a swimming pool which can be found in the gardens between the olive trees. The large sitting room overlooks the surrounding groves and grounds; the ideal spot for curling up with a book or simply admiring the views.
Other options include heading out to explore the countryside on horseback, wandering into nearby Oumnass – less than 10 minutes away – and visiting donkey sanctuary Jarjeer Mules, or if you fancy a bit more action head into Marrakech.

  Very good place for the photographer people to enjoy them calm time with nice garden, and the rooms very berber traditional architecture I loved it , the owner is very friendly, The only thing I dont like in this place is food extremely expensive 30euro per person and even not enough and doesn't tasty . u can only drive 10minut to eat outside for 5euro each .

  Really super experience. Went for the day for pool and lunch. Lovely gardens with mature olive trees and large pool for refreshing swim. The best part was lunch....simple, fresh and absolutely delicious. And all reasonably priced....highly recommend!

  If possible, I would give Berber Lodge a 15 instead of a 10! We started and ended our holiday here and we really loved the combination of the authentic atmosphere in combination with the outstanding comfort. The super kind staff is very dedicated to the guests and to the property, which is maintained excellent. Breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant serves high quality meals with excellent wines both for very reasonable prices. The owner of the hotel, Mr Romain, went beyond expectations!Again, the accommodation is authentic and yet incredibly comfortable. Beds are amazing. Everything is so clean. I can't think of anything that Mr Romain could do better.We will be back for sure!
