How to get there?

From Newbury: take the racecourse road and at the mini-roundabout turn right onto Boundary Road, then turn left onto Kings Road B3421. At the traffic lights turn right onto Kings Road B3421. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A339 then immediately bear right, signposted to Hermitage B4009, Thatcham A4. At the roundabout take the first exit onto Shaw Road B4009, signposted to Hermitage. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto Shaw Hill B4009. At mini-roundabout turn right onto Shaw Hill B4009, signposted Hermitage. At the mini-roundabout continue forward onto Shaw Hill B4009, signposted Hermitage, then urn left onto Curridge Road, signposted Curridge.
From Reading: take the A4 signposted M4, Newbury, Basingstoke and at traffic signals continue forward onto Crown Street A4, signposted M4, Newbury, Basingstoke, Oxford. At the traffic signals turn left onto the A4. Stay on the A4 through roundabouts and lights, then pick up signs for Newbury M4. Join the M4 signposted South Wales, Newbury, Oxford, and leave the M4 at Junction 13, then at the roundabout take the third exit onto the A34, signposted Oxford. Branch left immediately, then at T-junction turn right onto Graces Lane, signposted Hermitage. Continue forward onto Priors Court Road and at the mini-roundabout turn right onto Long Lane B4009, signposted Newbury, then urn right onto Curridge Road.
From Winchester: take the A34 signposted Newbury, and after 25 miles branch left, then at the roundabout take the second exit signposted Donnington. Continue forward onto Oxford Road then turn left onto Curridge Road, signposted Curridge. Bear right onto Curridge Road, signposted Curridge, Cold Ash.

  A last minute decision proved to be a good one. Five star stay at budget prices. Excellent room with very large bed, powerful shower and plenty of hot water. Covid restrictions limited the bar menu but the meal was excellent, piping hot and service from the team top notch. Finished with a magnificent breakfast I can't praise the Bunk Inn enough. Thoroughly recommended.

  Classic fish pie was delicious. Staff were really welcoming despite covering for local staff who were in isolation. Will be back. Thank you

  One night stay , room fab but after that its does have issuesOur meal was ok but not that greatService started ok then went down hillTable service which is understandable due to covidBut been left an hour waiting for drinks is a little bit to muchWine very overpriced,as i work within the wine industryBreakfast nothing great and the toast never arrivedThat been said it was what is was as i was inroute to to isle of wightWould i stay again i dont think so

  This was our first meal out since CV. A birthday treat from my partner. We phoned to check they had outside seating and that we could take our two greyhounds. Unfortunately we were not allowed in the rear garden so were a bit squashed next to the advertising sign at the front door. However I understand why they were keeping customers in limited space. I noticed that nobody wore masks.The meal , roast beef, was excellent and enjoyed the local brew too.
