This is not your average boutique hotel; carved magnificently into Santorini’s majestic cliffs, Andronis Boutique Hotel overlooks the postcard-perfect Aegean sea. At 23 rooms, this is a hideaway reigned by tranquility - helped along two turquoise pools.
The hotel’s allures aren’t confined to outdoors; the whitewashed exterior belies a blend of traditional and modern fashions inside. In true Greek style, much of the hotel boasts whitewashed walls and charming arched doorways, contrasting with vibrant splashes of colour here and there. Add to that the cave-like ceilings and cosy nooks and crannies, and it’s easy to see why visitors return year after year.
It’s worth noting that this is an adult-only hotel and is therefore not suitable for children.
A cooked-to-order breakfast is served in the mornings and is included in most room rates (see rate detail below).
The hotel’s fine dining restaurant, Lauda, serves traditional Greek cuisine with an imaginative twist. To maintain the restaurant’s high standards, meals are prepared using fresh, locally sourced and organic produce. To top it all off, there is a rather impressive wine list to choose from - best enjoyed while looking out over those dreamy sea views.
Built into the cliff, the 23 rooms at Andronis Boutique Hotel are certainly not short in character. Each is has been individually designed, with plenty of white and the odd dash of colour splashed across fabrics or furnishings. You can be sure of a good night’s sleep too - beds are kitted out with Frette Italian bedding and designer mattresses. Some of the pricier options even have their own plunge pools, Jacuzzis or infinity pools.
With not one, but two gorgeous pools at the hotel, a refreshing dip is never too far away. There are plenty of loungers on which to while away an afternoon with a good book - if you can tear your eyes away from that spectacular view, that is.
Nearby you’ll find plenty to keep you occupied, with the likes of the Byzantine Castle Ruins and Oia Castle just a stroll away.
