The quaint 12-bedroom hideaway is full of character, and features a first-rate seasonal menu matched by an extensive drinks list.
Dining
On a fine day, there's nothing better than enjoying a drink out on the sun trap terrace, but should you feel a chill, head inside to the cosy snug or bar. Dishes are prepared using seasonal and local ingredients; they range from pizzas, steaks and burgers, to classics such as pies and fish and chips.
Take your pick from the inviting dining area, or the private dining room seating up to 12 people if you're a larger group. There's also a secluded space for parties of up to 25.
As you would expect from an Upham Group pub, The White Hart has an extensive drinks menu including their own award-winning ales, a house gin from Bombay Sapphire (the distillery is just down the road), and a selection of fine wines sourced by Berry Bros & Rudd.
A children's menu is available for lunch and dinner.

Activities
With the Bombay Sapphire distillery just down the road, it'd be a shame not to visit and find out how the juniper-based tipple is made, or perhaps try your hand at making a cocktail.
If you love the outdoors you've come to the right place: the North Wessex Downs and South Downs National Park are both less than 25 minutes away. Children will love Manydown Family Fun, with activities such as animal handling, tractor rides, and crazy golf. And historians should take a trip to the Victorian Whitchurch Silk Mill or a tour of Steventon Village, the birthplace of Jane Austen.
