The estate boasts two fantastic restaurants. La Taverna Banfi, open for lunch, is an informal Tuscan restaurant, located under the vaulted ceiling of the ancient Castello wine cellars where the large casks used for the ageing of Brunello di Montalcino were stored. It serves delicious traditional Tuscan dishes alongside, of course, a superb wine list.
La Sala dei Grappoli is open for dinner, and located in the shadow of the historical Castello Banfi; La Sala dei Grappoli welcomes you in an elegant and refined atmosphere. In the summer, weather permitting, dinner is served al fresco on the terrace from which the spellbinding sight of the lights of the historical Castello Banfi can be enjoyed.
A seasonal menu allows you to select among traditional Tuscan dishes and is presented with a modern touch, accompanied by outstanding Banfi wines.
The Enoteca Wine Bar serves wines from the estate with an optional plate of regional bread, cheese and salami. You can also buy a selection of locally-produced pasta, olive oils and balsamic vinegar (as well as ceramics, wools, soaps, wine glasses, and books) from this shop-style bar.
There are 14 individually-decorated rooms & suites at Castello Banfi il Borgo, designed by renowned Italian stylist Federico Forquet and the Mariani family.
Tuscany is famous for its food and wine, and guests can enjoy cookery classes and wine-tastings to further discover the flavours of the region. Visit the surrounding vineyards by bike or on a wine tour, and enjoy a trip around Banfi's own cellars and vineyard which produce some of Italy's finest wines.
The castle's museum of wine and glass explores the history of this superb estate. Further afield, the concierge can arrange trips to other vineyards and wineries, as well as tours of the nearby hill-top towns, shopping trips, limousine and other rental services, including Ferrari rentals for real car enthusiasts.
Golfers can have a tailor-made golf itinerary drawn up, to make sure they get the most out of the region's courses, with the nearest just over an hour's drive away. Castello Banfi il Borgo also has a small fitness area with Technogym equipment.
Whatever you want to do in Tuscany, the friendly staff are here to help, while those who want to simply lie back and relax can spend the day by the outdoor heated pool with a good book, before an in-room massage or a visit to one of the wonderful local spas and therapeutic baths.
