Why so chic?
Why travel experts chose this hotelFamily-friendly luxuryCoastal locationGreat choice of bars and restaurantsChic Treats
Only when you book with ChicSitting within six acres of lush Mediterranean grounds on the seafront of Paphos, Annabelle is a luxurious hotel with top service and a range of dining options. Run by the same family team behind Almyra and Anassa, there's the same level of sophistication and quality as the sister properties. A stay is all about kicking back and relaxing in the beautiful Cypriot sunshine; find a spot in the tropical gardens complete with pergola and wooden terrace, or take a dip in the free-form, cascading pool. Ouranos, the sleek and modern rooftop spa area provides an elegant pampering sanctuary and also boasts an indoor pool.
Host Story
We were founded forty years ago by my father, the late Alecos Michaelides. Each of our three hotels is much-loved and entirely distinctive in their own way - Annabelle evokes the classic Mediterranean charm of blue seas, warm stone, and rustic, yet chic design. My favourite spot is Ouranos, our rooftop bar and restaurant. Ouranos means sky in Greek, which is the right word to describe it - while standing there you feel you are up in the sky!- Natasha Peleties, Owner

The array of on-site restaurants and bars showcase a range of cuisines. Asteras is for romantic dining, where candlelit tables overlook the shimmering pool. Note: open in summer only, on selected evenings.
For fine dining head to Amorosa for seasonal, regularly-changing Mediterranean dishes: start with burrata with basil marmalade and confit heritage cherry tomatoes, follow with glazed duck breast with maple syrup, baked root vegetables and beetroot jus, and end with decadent chocolate, raspberry and crunchy pistachio. For a relaxed meal, seafront taverna Mediterraneo is the place to be; meze, fresh fish, healthy salads or spiced lamb koftas can be savoured with a glass of chilled wine. And finally, there's Fontana, an all-day spot that's open from breakfast through to nighttime. Located by the half-olympic-size pool, it has a large terrace for alfresco meals.Live music is played on most nights, from folk and traditional to restaurant performances and piano sessions. And there's no shortage of bars either. Contemporary Ouranos is situated on the roof, boasts panoramic views of the harbour, and serves sharing plates and inventive cocktails; atmospheric Byz is the place for a concoction using Cypriot brandy Zivania; and swim-up bar Grotto fulfils poolside drinks needs.
Accommodation
There is a wide range of rooms and suites at Annabelle to suit every need and taste. Bedrooms are styled with minimalist, Mediterranean décor, and bathrooms are elegantly appointed with marble tiling. Each has a balcony or terrace with garden or sea views; many are interconnecting, making them perfect for families.
Activities
The seafront gardens, pool setting and outstanding dining experiences at Annabelle mean that you may want to just stay 'at home', unwind and soak up the sun. But if you want to get out and about, the property is ideally placed to explore the culture of Cyprus. History buffs will want to make time to visit the extraordinary archaeological remains at UNESCO Paphos, home to a royal necropolis dating back to the 4th century. And the hotel can arrange excursions along the island’s coast. Just 20 minutes east of Annabelle there's an idyllic bay where, legend has it, Aphrodite was born from the sea. Whoever swims around the Goddess's rock there will find true love. Cape Arnaoutis is on the tip of the Akamas peninsula and is well worth a visit; far from the tourist trail and with pretty sheltered bays, it's a scenic spot for a picnic.
Back at the hotel, if you fancy taking a bit of Cypriot cuisine home, book one of their cookery or bread-making classes.
